2024 Form One Placements Out! Check Your Phone for Your Child's School

The wait is over for eager parents and students nationwide! The Ministry of Education has officially released the 2024 Form One placement results, and anxious candidates can now access their assigned schools with just a few taps on their phones.

"We are delighted to announce that placement results for all candidates who sat for the 2023 KCPE exams are now available online," declared Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu in a press briefing this morning. "Parents and students can easily check their placements through the Ministry's website or via SMS."

Accessing the results via mobile phone is particularly convenient. To do so, simply follow these steps:

1. Open your phone's web browser and visit the Ministry of Education website: https://www.knec.ac.ke/services/release-results/
2. Click on the "2024 Form One Selection and Placement" page.
3. Enter the candidate's KCPE index number and name in the designated fields.
4. Click "Search" and voila! Your child's designated school will be displayed on the screen.

Alternatively, parents can opt for the SMS route. Simply send an SMS containing the candidate's KCPE index number to the designated number, which will be announced shortly by the Ministry. You will then receive an SMS response with the assigned school information.

"We understand the immense anticipation surrounding these results," Machogu acknowledged. "Therefore, we have ensured that the online platform and SMS service are robust and readily accessible to everyone."

The Cabinet Secretary reminded parents and students to remain calm and orderly while checking the results. He also cautioned against unofficial sources circulating incorrect information, urging everyone to rely only on the Ministry's official channels.

With the placements announced, the next step for parents is to report to their child's assigned school for registration and further instructions. This marks a crucial turning point for young learners as they embark on their secondary education journey.
